- Each and every Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is different from the last. The Tattoo embraces different themes; nature, creativity and Scotland's homecoming are just some of the concepts explored in recent times.
- More than 14 million people have attended the Tattoo, with an annual audience of around 220,000. In addition, around 100 million people see the Tattoo each year on international television. Not a single performance of the Tattoo has ever been cancelled.

The Scots Fiddle Festival, which is now in its 22nd year, is delighted to announce that it will be moving back under one roof for this year’s Festival.
Fiddle 2018, which will be held from the 16th – 18th November, is moving to The Pleasance, Edinburgh – the well known, music and Fringe Venue. Rosie Munro the SFF Artistic Director said “This is a really exciting move, which will give us greater scope for the festival. It will allow us to be innovative while continuing to develop our core activities, creating an exciting new home for the Scots Fiddle Festival”.
Malcolm Gillies, Chair of the SFF said “We had a new committee, including myself, last year, and now having one year under our belt, are gradually making some changes. We see this move as a great opportunity for the festival, and one which will allow us to expand the offering, be maybe a wee bit radical, and moves us well down the road to becoming a genuinely sustainable and fun Festival.”
